Zuni - Physali
This variety's yellow-green fruit is traditionally cooked with garlic, chillies and herbs to make a delicious sauce. Sheltered in their calyxes and kept in a dry, well-ventilated place, they keep for several weeks.

Sow in pots, under cover, at a temperature between 20 and 25°C, 6 to 8 weeks before transplanting. Germination may take up to 4 weeks. Transplant with the root ball, after the last frosts, 1 m apart in all directions.
