This variety offers an oak-leaf lettuce that is highly resistant to frost and adapted to cold soils. Its kinship with "Lollo Rossa" gives its foliage a somewhat embossed appearance and serrated edges.
The peripheral leaves are cut off, one by one, as required. New ones develop after successive harvests.

Sow in pots or slabs at a temperature of 10-18°C, one month before planting. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, press lightly and water. Once the plants have 4 leaves, prick out. Alternatively, sow lightly, directly into the ground, every 15 days for better staggered harvests, then thin out. This type of sowing produces hardier plants, less susceptible to bolting.
