The synergy of this mix is designed to optimize the root environment, a sine qua non for successful sowing and the establishment of vigorous plants.
+ Lombricompost acts as a biological humus amendment. Derived from bio-digestion, it provides nutrients in a highly assimilable form. It stimulates the young plant's natural defenses and initial root development. It is a natural fertilizer of prime importance for the germination stage. + Biochar, or Vegetable Carbon, is a highly porous soil improver. Obtained by pyrolysis, it significantly increases substrate aeration and improves water and nutrient retention. Its structure is an essential refuge for beneficial micro-flora, providing a solid base for long-term soil improvement. + Potting Soil for Seedlings is the basic structuring growing medium. This potting soil is designed to guarantee a stable, non-compacting substrate. It is formulated without peat, meeting the requirements of sustainable resource management and responsible gardening.
## Final substrate performance
The blend of three materials creates a breathable, fertile substrate whose matrix encourages a rich microbial life. It provides a dual function of water regulation and continuous supply of essential nutrients, giving seedlings optimum conditions for a strong start and sustained growth.
## Preparation and Use
The proportion tested to ensure this balance is 80% potting soil, 10% Biochar and 10% vermicompost.
The prepared substrate is used to fill containers (cups or trays). After sowing, fine spray watering is recommended to maintain humidity without disturbing the substrate's surface structure.
