Oregano
This herbaceous, perennial species, 80 cm high, produces pink or purple flowers grouped in panicles, as well as highly aromatic green leaves used as a condiment that goes well with basil and other herbs.
To dry the stems, cut them a few cm from the ground at the start of flowering and dry them in the shade.

Sow in a nursery in spring or autumn and plant out in the open at the 4-5 leaf stage, 30 cm apart in all directions.
Harvest from spring to autumn, choosing large stems close to the ground. To preserve, simply dry in a dry place.
