Basilic Opalescent
Basil and Tulsis

Opalescent - Basil and Tulsis

Ref : F1832 - Ocimum basilicum

This variety, a cross between "Mrihani" and "Opal", produces extraordinary plants with large, deeply serrated, dark purple leaves and lavender-pink inflorescences. It reveals a rare fruity flavor.

Developed by Frank Morton, he says: "Similar in appearance to Purple Ruffles, its fragrance and taste are completely distinct from those of sweet basil. The fruity sweetness and cherry-magenta color it imparts to a vinegar is unlike any other herb I know."
