Tomatoes

The tomato - Solanum lycopersicum - is a member of the Solanaceae family and the Solaneae tribe. The Solanum genus comprises over 1,600 known species. The Kokopelli catalog currently offers over 380 varieties within a single Solanum species, appreciated for their excellent taste. All our bagged tomato seeds are organic, royalty-free and reproducible.

Sowing advice: 4 to 5 weeks before planting in the vegetable garden, sow tomato seeds under a light shelter at a temperature of between 16 and 20°C. Keep the soil moist until germination, which can take from 3 to 7 days depending on the tomato variety. Acclimatize young plants to outdoor conditions for a week, taking them outside during the day, before planting them in the garden. When the plants have 2 to 4 leaves and the last frosts have passed, transplant them into full sunlight, 50 cm apart in all directions.
