Lovage
This perennial species with green foliage can reach 2 m in height. It is cultivated for its seeds and leaves, which are used as a condiment. Also known as "Maggi herb", it is recommended for rekindling appetite and love of life.
Its names, "Lovage" in English, "Lavas Kruid" in Dutch and "Liebstöckle" in German, beautifully evoke love and regeneration.

Sow directly in the garden in April and May, in rows 50 cm apart. Thin to 50 cm when plants have 5 to 6 leaves. You can also sow directly in a nursery in August and September, for spring transplanting.
Leaves are harvested before flowering, on a regular basis to encourage new growth.
