This Scottish variety with dark foliage, adapted to cool, mountainous climates, produces clusters of 4 to 7 round, red fruits with thin, smooth skin and a sweet, acid-tinged flavor.
Sow in pots at a temperature of between 16 and 20°C, under a well-lit shelter, 5 weeks before planting. After the last frosts, transplant the whole clump into the ground at a minimum distance of 50 cm, burying the stem up to the first leaves. Water abundantly at the time of planting.

Originally from Scotland, it was developed in the early 20th century by Alan Balch for greenhouse cultivation. It is a cross between "Fillbasket" and "Sunrise". It takes its name from a rocky island in Scotland's First of Clyde.
