"I've always been interested in gardening. First, as a child, I realized how abundant it was, and then, as a teenager, I became ecologically motivated to defend vegetable biodiversity and food self-sufficiency.
After various professional experiences, I obtained a BTSA in Nature Management and Protection. But my desire to be an active player in my region, rather than an external manager, prompted me to set up as a farmer. So I took a BPREA, where I discovered the professional world of seeds, and was trained by the late David Dard and Sabine Lunetta, former producers with the Kokopelli Association. I took over from them, so to speak!
Since 2014, I've been growing around fifty vegetable and flower species with almost 1 hectare of seed-bearing crops in organic farming, 93% of which are in the ground.
Beyond, of course, being autonomous in my decisions and living in the fresh air, thanks to my profession as a seed multiplier producer, I can combine my passion for plants with the fight for free seed and thus participate in the common good.
Bringing this whole plant world to the end of its cycle, at the mercy of climatic hazards and other pests, is also a kind of technical and sensitive challenge, as exciting as it is grueling - let's face it - and one that has to be repeated every year.
My favorite variety: the "Tendre de Châteaurenard" bell pepper. Generous and delicious, it's unjustly forgotten! And the Poppy "Jimi's Purple Haze", which is truly magnificent.
