Bag of 200 seeds

This tinctorial species has cream-colored flower spikes. The yellow dye is extracted from the flowers, leaves and seeds. It is a highly melliferous species.

This species is also known as "Gaude", "Herbe à jaunir" or "Mignonette jaunâtre".

It has been known since Antiquity as the yellow dye par excellence. In the 17th century, it seems to have been the main source of supply for this dye. Mixed with madder (red) and indigo (blue), it produces orange and green hues.
