Tommy Toe - Red Early Cherry tomato
This old-fashioned, highly productive and hardy variety produces an abundance of clusters of 6 to 10 round to oval fruits, about the size of apricots. Very juicy, they offer an appreciated flavor.

Sow in pots at a temperature of between 16 and 20°C, under a well-lit shelter, 5 weeks before planting. After the last frosts, transplant the whole clump into the ground at a minimum distance of 50 cm, burying the stem up to the first leaves. Water abundantly at the time of planting.
Solanaceae need light and heat to produce. In cool climates, it's best to grow them under cover and, depending on the soil, water them regularly.

This ancient variety originated around 1900 in the Ozark Mountains in the United States, and has won prizes in several old tomato variety competitions in Australia, where it is very popular, as well as at the Rodale Institute in the United States.
