Tanacetum cinerariifolium - Pyrethrum
This perennial species, also known as Insecticide Chrysanthemum, has large daisy-like flowers, ideal for bouquets. The plants, 40 to 60cm tall, can withstand temperatures below -10°C.
This species can be used to make preparations with insecticide and insect repellent properties (caution: preparations may be toxic to fish).

Sow at an ideal temperature of 18-20°, in trays or cups. Use a finely sieved sowing substrate and place the seeds in it without covering them. Press down gently to improve seed contact and keep the substrate moist. Transplant into the ground, 30 cm apart in all directions, as soon as the soil has warmed up sufficiently.
