This ancient variety produces diabolo-shaped fruits up to 18 cm in diameter, 25 cm long and weighing up to 3 kg. Their hard, warty skin is dark green, turning ochre when ripe. Their orange flesh has a fine texture and a nutty flavor.

Sow in pots at a temperature of between 18 and 20°C, 2 to 3 weeks before planting. Transplant, with the root ball, into the ground, after the last frosts, at a distance of at least 2 m in all directions.
