Rox Orange - Sorghum
This variety produces an abundance of panicles containing orange-red grains. It is used to make a very fragrant, light-colored molasses-type syrup.
Sorghum bicolor is a dye plant widely used in Africa. It is the leaf sheaths, often colored red, that are used for their anthocyanin content.

Sow light-colored, directly in place, in well-warmed soil, in rows 60 cm apart. Cover with 2 cm of fine soil. After emergence, thin out to leave one plant every 30 cm.
Sorghum needs a lot of heat to ripen.
