This ancient variety offers blue-grey fruit, flattened on both sides and deeply ribbed. They reach 20 cm in diameter and weigh up to 6 kg. Their orange flesh is thick, dry and very flavorful.

The fruit can be stored for up to 9 months.

Sow in pots at a temperature of between 18 and 20°C, 2 to 3 weeks before planting. Transplant, with the root ball, into the ground, after the last frosts, at a distance of at least 2 m in all directions.
