Black Crimean Tomato plants

Ref : P7311P

Drought-resistant and vigorous, Crimean Black tomatoes produce an abundance of reddish-brown, round, densely-fleshed fruit.

How to grow the Crimean Black Mid-Season Tomato?

Plants can be moved to the open ground after the end of the frosts, from mid-May onwards.

Growing tips

Fertile, well-drained, sunny soil is ideal for transplanting, leaving a distance of 50 cm on all sides. Successful planting depends on abundant watering at the time of planting.
To allow tomatoes to acclimatize to outdoor conditions, we recommend taking them outside for 4 to 7 days before planting them in the garden or in a pot.

For more information, see our guide to transplanting tomato plants.

How to avoid tomato diseases?

To limit the risk of fungal diseases such as mildew, it is advisable not to water heavily and to avoid wetting leaves and flowers. Mulching tomato plants keeps the soil moist.

Solanaceae need light and heat to produce. In cool climates, it's best to grow them under cover and, depending on the soil, to water them regularly.

When and how to harvest the Crimean Black Mid-Season Tomato?

This mid-season variety is harvested from June to October. Pick the fruit with a spinet when ripe.
