Hablitzia tamnoides

Ref : F1889 - Hablitzia tamnoides
Bag of 200 seeds

This extremely hardy, climbing perennial grows up to 4 m high. Its young shoots are eaten raw or cooked, like asparagus, and its heart-shaped leaves like spinach.

Caucasian spinach grows more vigorously from the second year onwards.

in the ground, in bucket

Seeds germinate in the cold and at low temperatures. Sow in trays 1 or 2 mm deep, moisten seedlings and place in the fridge. If the seeds have not sprouted after 8 weeks, remove the seedlings, leave them at room temperature and wait 14 days. When the plants have 2 leaves, transplant into individual cups and place in the light. As soon as the plants reach 10 to 15 cm in height, plant them in well-warmed soil 50 cm apart in all directions.

Stake with nets or oars, before the plants emit their long, voluble stems.
