Glossy - Epazote
The fragrant, pungent leaves of Epazote are traditionally used to season beans and Mexican sauces.
This variety, selected by Frank Mortone of Wild Garden Seeds, is vigorous and can grow up to 1.2 m in fairly rich soil and full sun. Its glossy foliage offers a unique light color and its flowers attract beneficial insects.

Sow in pots under cover. Transplant at 30 cm intervals in all directions when plants have 4 to 5 leaves. For sowing in the garden, wait until after the last frosts, open a shallow furrow and sow lightly. When plants have 4 to 5 leaves, thin out to leave one plant every 30 cm.
