Eclipta prostrata
This annual medicinal species, in the Asteraceae family, has low-growing plants with small white "daisy" flowers. It is highly reputed in the three Indian pharmacopoeia systems - Ayurveda, Unani and Siddha - as a liver and scalp tonic, but also to treat asthma, respiratory and gastrointestinal problems, skin pathologies, enlargement of the spleen, wounds, etc.

Sow in pots or trays a few weeks before planting in the garden after the last frosts. Caution: Germination takes two to three weeks and is often uneven. Transplant 30 cm apart in all directions.
Eclipte is particularly fond of water. Install in a naturally damp area or water regularly for optimum growth.

The species contains luteolin, apigenin, ursolic acid, oleanolic acid, wedelolactone and more.
