This herbaceous plant is well known in traditional Eurasian medicine. It can grow up to 1.20 m tall, with large, anise-green umbels that turn white.
It is used, for example, to treat kidney stones, angina pectoris and asthma. It is also known as toothpick herb.

Sow in trays, under light cover, at a temperature of at least 18°C. Keep seeds lightly covered and moist until emergence. Transplant seedlings into individual cups and store under cover if risk of frost is still a concern, or transplant directly into warmed soil, 30 cm apart in all directions.
