Alexanders
Maceron is a very old biennial vegetable with a flavor reminiscent of celery. The young shoots and roots can be eaten raw or cooked, the flowers in fritters, the ground seeds used as a condiment and the leaves used to flavor many dishes.

Sow lightly, directly in place, in rows 50 cm apart. Press lightly and keep moist until emergence. Thin to 50 cm when plants have 5 to 6 leaves. You can also sow in a nursery in autumn for transplanting in spring.
Stake seed-bearing stems if necessary.
