How to grow peppers
Bell pepper plants are transplanted into the ground from mid-May, once the last frosts have passed.
Peppers need light and heat to produce. In cool climates, it's best to grow them under cover and, depending on the soil, to water them regularly.
In the vegetable garden, transplant at least 50 cm apart in all directions, in a sunny spot. Whether in pots or in the ground, peppers need rich, well-drained soil to develop properly.
For more information, consult our guide to transplanting seedlings.
When and how to harvest peppers?
Chocolate / Early Choco peppers are harvested from May to October, while De Mi-Corne de Taureau Jaune and Rouge / Mi-Saison Tendre de Châteaurenard peppers are harvested from July to October.
